Photocamp Leeds {Winter 2008} is the second event of it's kind in Europe.

In September 2008 eighty delegates came together and experienced the benefits of an open, sharing and practical event.
This next 'unconference' is the next step, taking the best bits from the previous event and delivering a 'winter warmer' edition - more doing, more sharing, more new things to learn.
Please Note...
Tickets are non-refundable. You may transfer if you notify organiser 24hrs in advance of the event; otherwise only the named delegate can attend. Should the event be permanently cancelled the price paid minus any charges imposed by the ticketing and credit card handling agencies will be refunded.
Why charge this time?
Putting together an event of this scale is very time consuming; the amount of time spent courting sponsors was the biggest resource of the previous project. The event really only went ahead due to the ability to get a key sponsor. This time we are asking you to pay an up front registration fee to avoid this need; though we will attempt to find sponsors. The other reason to charge is a 'commitment expense' - at the last event we had a good turn out; but we still had 20 empty seats. This way we can fill the venue to it's capacity - if interest is sufficient.
The actual costs of putting the event together amounts to only a few pounds per delegate - thanks to the lack of speaker chargers and the benevolence of sponsors Leeds Metropolitan University our biggest potential expense - the infrastructure - is supplied free of charge.
What are we paying for?
The registration fee will only be used to cover any costs incurred by the organisers and the cost of supplying through the day refreshments. And the fee charged by the PayPal, of course!
If you find a sponsor will we get a refund?
We don't know yet - this will be decided at a later stage.
Who is 'Exposure Leeds'
This is simply a holding name for a series of events that will follow Photocamp. It is under consideration that, to avoid personal financial responsibility, that an organisation might be created to deliver Photocamps and similar events locally - this organisation will most definitely not be profit generating.
